Sarajevo hosts meeting of the European Taekwondo Union Board of Directors

(Patria) - The European Grand Prix in taekwondo, which concludes today with the fourth competition day in Sarajevo, was an opportunity for the Board of Directors of the European Taekwondo Union to hold a meeting in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting, attended by 25 members of the ETU Board of Directors, was chaired by Sakis Pragalos, the head of the continental taekwondo federation, and among the attending members was Samir Šarić, president of the Taekwondo Federation of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a member of the presidency of the Taekwondo Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting discussed extremely important topics related to the state of taekwondo sport on the Old Continent, as well as ways and possibilities to further improve it and continue its upward trajectory.

One of the main topics was the competition calendar for the next year, as well as potential solutions for the dense schedule of competitions in 2026 and its harmonization, which will be one of the special challenges for the ETU and national federations from across Europe.

At the very end of the meeting, the president of the Taekwondo Federation of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the technical organizer of the European Grand Prix, presented a certificate of appreciation and a gift to the president of the ETU, Sakis Pragalos.
