Sarajevo defeated by Ukrainian league leaders in friendly match

(Patria) - Football Club Sarajevo was defeated this morning in a preparatory match in Antalya by the leader of the Ukrainian championship - the team LNZ Cherkasy with a score of 2:1.

The weather conditions were not the best again - it was raining.

This time, coach Mario Cvitanović decided to send the following 11 onto the field: Banić, Beganović, Ristovski, Gojković, Stjepanović, Mujkić, Cimirot, Telalović, Mundo Rocha, Mehmedović, and Turkeš.

There were no goals in the first half, and goalkeeper Banić distinguished himself with his saves, keeping the net untouched.

In the second half, after five minutes of play, Cherkasy took the lead. Gojković intervened, but sent the ball into his own net.

Just three minutes later, another goal in Sarajevo's net. Banić saved the first shot, but Tverdokhlib then assisted brilliantly, and Kuzyk scored for 2:0.

Gojković set the final score in the 90th minute, who, after a cross, beautifully hit Cherkasy's net, thus redeeming himself for his own goal.

- This was an extremely difficult test. We had several players we couldn't count on, but this test was successful, we played against a team with fast, strong players. This match pushed us to defensive extremes, to see how we cope in those situations.

They have excellent transitions, we conceded a goal from a counter-attack, and I wouldn't talk about the attacking phase. They haven't conceded a goal for a long time, and today they conceded one. We need to keep the ball, but in the end, I am not disappointed. It will be completely different in the championship - said Cvitanović.

The Bordo team plays its last preparatory match in Antalya tonight against the team Vardar, which is also the leader in the North Macedonian championship.
