Sarajevo says goodbye to Europe with a defeat against Spartak in Trnava

(Patria) - Football Club Sarajevo was defeated tonight in Trnava by host Spartak with a score of 3:0, in the second leg of the second qualifying round of the Conference League.

The Maroon team started the match better, threatening at the start, as in the first match, but failed to convert.

Spartak then woke up and took the lead in the 15th minute through Duriš, writes Faktor.ba.

Spartak also had possession and controlled the game, and in the 34th minute could have led 2:0. Azango shot powerfully and hit the post.

In the 42nd minute, a poor reaction from Sarajevo's defense, Duriš beat Rockov for the second time, making it 2:0.

Sarajevo had to go all out in the second half. Čataković, who was surprisingly left on the bench and got a chance at the start of the second half, threatened twice.

Sarajevo controlled the game but couldn't score. The hosts played tactically smart, waiting for chances to finish the job on the counter-attack.

Guliashavilli also threatened for Sarajevo, but was blocked. Substitute Karhan punished this and scored into Sarajevo's net deep into stoppage time.
