Sarajevo easily reaches BiH Cup round of 16

(Patria) - Football pitches across our country are hosting the BiH Cup round of 32 matches today.

Football Club Sarajevo easily defeated hosts Sloboda in Bosanski Novi with a score of 2:0 and advanced to the round of 16.

The nets remained still until the middle of the first half, when Kuprešak took a corner, and Lokilo awkwardly deceived his own goalkeeper, allowing Sarajevo to take the lead.

Shortly after, Guliashvili fell in the penalty area after a challenge, and referee Gigović awarded a penalty for Sarajevo. The home goalkeeper saved the Georgian's shot from the spot.

In the 38th minute, Sloboda's net shook again when Turkeš masterfully scored with his head. That was the final score of 2:0 for the team from the capital of BiH.

Among others, Radnik Bijeljina, Posušje, Igman Konjic, Zrinjski, and Velež also advanced to the round of 16.
