Sarajevo played to a goalless draw against Zorya

(Patria) - In their first friendly match during their training camp in Antalya, FK Sarajevo played to a goalless draw against Ukrainian side Zorya today.

Coach Mario Cvitanović opted for these eleven players: Banić, Kyeremeh, Ristovski, Maroodza, Bralić, Kuprešak, Cimirot, Elezi, Ljajić, Mlinarić, and Oliveira.

In the first half, Sarajevo had several chances, with Kyeremeh hitting the crossbar being a notable opportunity. Ljajić and Kuprešak also tried their luck, but there were no goals. Banić also stood out with several saves in the first half.

In the second half, other players got a chance to play. Sarajevo was more active and again had several opportunities. First through Mujkić, and after him, the young Mehmedović and Turkeš also tried, but Zorya's net remained untouched.

Coach Cvitanović also shared his thoughts after the match.

- We tried throughout the entire match, both in the first and second halves. You have to know that in the second half, we had several extremely young players on the field. I think we can be satisfied with this match. We were looking for a good rhythm here, and only the goals were missing.

We sought situations through possession and transition. This is our first match since the start of preparations, and I consider it a good test against a strong opponent. They created some situations through sheer effort and made chances.

I am interested in the game, the football, and we created chances through our play. It is important to me that we work and breathe as one, the energy in the team is good, I think this was very good.

The situation with Bralić, who felt pain while running after being substituted, disrupted us a bit, and that worries me a little - said Cvitanović.

The next test for the maroon team comes on Saturday when they will face Dunajská Streda.”
