Sarajevo beats Radnik at Koševo, Luka Menalo scores on debut

(Patria) - Football club Sarajevo triumphantly opened the spring part of the season of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Bordeaux team defeated Radnik from Bijeljina 2:0 at Koševo tonight, writes Faktor.

The hosts took the lead in the 19th minute when Elezi scored on an assist from Kuprešak, sparking a big celebration among the home fans.

After the goal, Kuprešak threatened twice. First, Trako saved his shot, and in the second instance, the ball went wide of the goal.



In the 29th minute, the visitors also threatened. Maroodza made a mistake, Radnik had a three-on-one situation, but Hrvanović ruined it.



The Bordeaux team missed a big chance in the 42nd minute. Ljajić took a corner, Turkeš flicked it on to the far post, but Maroodza, from a few meters out, failed to hit the empty net.



Sarajevo controlled the opening of the second half as well. The hosts had chances through Bralić and Ljajić, but the score remained unchanged.



In the 81st minute, Sarajevo had the best opportunity - a penalty. Markovina handled the ball after Ljajić's free kick.



The captain of the Bordeaux team took responsibility but was not accurate - he missed the goal frame.



However, four minutes later, Ljajić somewhat redeemed himself with a brilliant assist, which was converted into a goal by Luka Menalo, who was also making his debut for the Bordeaux team.
