Sarajevo and Željo play the 157th eternal derby at Koševo today

(Patria) - As part of the 18th round of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the 157th city derby between Sarajevo and Željezničar is being played today.

Neither Sarajevo nor Željo are in good form ahead of the match which starts at 1:00 PM at Koševo. Both teams have 23 points, Željo is 4th in the standings, and Sarajevo is fifth. They are 14 points behind the league leaders Borac.

The team from Grbavica has not won any of their last five matches, and the same applies to Sarajevo in their last three encounters.

It is clear that neither team is entering this match in good spirits, but of course - all statistics go out the window in a derby.

The first duel played this season at Grbavica went to Željezničar, who won 2-0.

Let's also add that the derby will be played without visiting fans, all due to the number of tickets that FK Sarajevo decided to allocate to the popular Manijaci.

The main referee today will be the best BiH referee Irfan Peljto, assisted by Damir Lazić and Arnel Novalić. The fourth official will be Aleksandar Njegomirović, and in the VAR room Nihad Ljajić and Admir Musić.
