Sarajevo and Velež chase second qualifying round of the Conference League tonight

(Patria) - Sarajevo and Velež play their return matches of the first qualifying round of the Conference League tonight.

Sarajevo defends a 1:0 away win against Kazakhstan's Aktobe.

The victory for the Bordeaux team in that match was secured in the final minutes by Kyeremeh with a fantastic goal from about 20 meters.

If Sarajevo eliminates the Kazakh representative, they will play against Slovakia's Spartak Trnava in the second qualifying round of the Conference League.

The match Sarajevo - Aktobe will be played tonight at the "Asim Ferhatović Hase" stadium starting at 9 PM.

In the first match of the first qualifying round of the Conference League, Velež drew 1:1 last week at Grbavica against Inter Club d'Escaldes from Andorra.

Velež, who started the season with a significantly changed squad and a new coach Damir Čanadi, had plenty of problems on the pitch in the first match, which the visiting team knew how to use for a favorable result ahead of the return leg on home soil.

The Andorrans took the lead in the 34th minute when Joanet Lopez Elo scored, and Velež equalized in the 64th minute with a goal from Brazilian Elzio Lohan.

If they advance to the next round of the competition, Velež would play against Greece's AEK.

The match Inter Club d'Escaldes - Velež will be played tonight starting at 6 PM.
