Sarajevo eliminated Sloga from Doboj and continued their path in the BiH Cup, Guliashvili was a double scorer

(Patria) - In the end, they celebrated their placement in the quarter-finals with the "Bordo team", who defeated the team from Doboj with a score of 3:1.

A very exciting first half began with Bubanja's header in the third minute, but the ball went over the goal. Four minutes later, the guests threatened for the first time in the match with Šešlak's shot from 16 meters, but the ball went wide.

In the very next attack, Kyeremeh shot over the goal, and six minutes later, the same player tried from the edge of the penalty area, but the ball went into a corner.

Sarajevo took the lead in the 17th minute when a Sloga player made a mistake and passed the ball to Bubanja, who finished Erić with a beautiful shot for 1:0.

Just two minutes later, the team from Doboj could have equalized when Mandić shot from five meters, but the home goalkeeper saved excellently.

In the 27th minute, Sarajevo doubled their lead after Guliashvili capitalized on a good pass from Kyeremeh and scored for 2:0.

However, four minutes later, the guests "came alive" when Mekić took advantage of a poor reaction from the defense and the Sarajevo goalkeeper and assisted Veselinović for 2:1.

In the 35th minute, Guliashvili tried a free kick, but Erić caught the ball without major problems. Five minutes later, the hosts had a "winner" but did not utilize the extra players on the counter.

Two minutes before the end of the first half, Turkeš missed a golden opportunity after going one-on-one with Erić, but the goalkeeper from Doboj reacted excellently to keep Sloga in the game, and that's how the first half ended.

The second half began with a dangerous situation in front of Sloga's goal in the 47th minute, but Mehmedović did not give his all. Sarajevo's offensive start in the second half was confirmed by the chance Turkeš had in the 52nd minute, but the ball went high over the goal.

The guests had their first chance in the second half in the 53rd minute when Jović headed the ball, but the Sarajevo goalkeeper caught it without major problems.

Sarajevo increased their lead in the next attack. Kuprešak assisted Guliashvili, who went one-on-one with Erić and scored his second goal for 3:1.

After that, a calmer period of play followed, from which we can only highlight the attempts by Vidić and Mandić in the 60th minute, but the guests could not score. On the other hand, Guliashvili shot from a free kick from 25 meters, but Erić saved in the 70th minute, and in the 77th minute, Erić also saved Bubanja's shot from 18 meters.

In the 80th minute, after Ristić's foul on Krdžalić, and after consulting with VAR, Martinović awarded a penalty for Sarajevo, but this time the goalkeeper from Doboj came out on top in the duel between Guliashvili and Erić.

Five minutes later, Vidić shot well, but the ball went slightly over Roko's goal.

In the six minutes of added time, we did not see anything interesting; Sarajevo calmly brought the match to an end and thus secured their place among the top eight teams in the BiH Cup.

Both teams are now awaiting their first matches in the WWIN league of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the spring part of the season. Sloga will host Velež next weekend, and since the match between Sarajevo and Borac has been postponed, the "Bordo team" will face Željezničar in the Sarajevo derby in just two weeks, while in the quarter-finals they will face Zrinjski.
