USA, THIS TOO: Mirvić does not accept candidacy

(Patria) - Ismir Mirvić, president of the Sarajevo Football Club, commented after last night's events. He remained consistent with what he had advocated all along, which is change and healing of football in BiH.

- From the very beginning, I have been fighting for changes and the well-being of football in BiH, exclusively on the side of sports. The future of Sarajevo football should be in the hands of Sarajevo clubs and well-intentioned people who improve sports in KS with their actions. As long as the will of Sarajevo clubs is denied, I cannot accept the candidacy for the Executive Board in the NS/FS BiH. A healthy organization of the Football Association of Sarajevo Canton is a firm foundation for the future of football at the state level, he stated.

Ibrahim Hasanbegović is the new president of the Football Association of Sarajevo Canton (FSKS). This was decided by the delegates of the FSKS Assembly, held in a Sarajevo hotel under the slogan "Sarajevo Clubs for the Future of Sarajevo Football".

21 delegates attended the Assembly session of the majority of clubs dissatisfied with the state and management of FSKS, which the Ministry of Justice of KS, led by Minister Darja Softić Kadenić, recently refused to register as an association, and 20 of them had the right to vote.

At the same time, another session of the FSKS Assembly was held in the building of the Football Association of BiH, currently acceptable to the Football Association of BiH, where Nijaz Brković was elected president of the football governing body in Sarajevo.

Candidates for the Executive Board of FSBiH are Ismir Mirvić and Adis Junuzović, and for the Executive Board of FSFBiH Nijaz Brković and Adnan Džindo.

The KS Assembly has 35 delegates, of whom as many as 18 are suspended. Media were denied access to follow this session.

A total of 13 delegates voted for the new president and candidates for the federal and state associations, of which nine votes came from representatives of various associations, and only four from club representatives.
