USA and Germany are the biggest favorites for basketball gold in Paris

(Patria) - The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has released a list of favorites for winning medals at the Olympic tournament in Paris.

Compared to the previous forecast, the Serbian national team has advanced from fourth to third place.

Serbia's rise to bronze was aided by a significant drop of France by as many as three positions.

As expected, the top favorite for gold is the USA national team, and the second is the world champion Germany.

Behind Serbia is Canada, and behind them are the Australians. Spain is seventh, behind the sixth-placed French, and Greece is eighth.

A great game against the Americans in a recent preparatory tournament has propelled the South Sudanese national team to an excellent ninth place.

Brazil is tenth, Japan 11th, and Puerto Rico 12th.
