Romanian Istvan Kovacs to referee Wales - BiH match in Cardiff

(Patria) - The European Football Federation (UEFA) has delegated officials for the semi-final match of the World Cup play-off between the national teams of Wales and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The trust has been placed in Romanian referee Istvan Kovacs, who will officiate the match at the stadium in Cardiff. His assistants on the sidelines will be his compatriots Mihai Marica and Ferencz Tunyogi, while German Tobias Stieler has been delegated as the fourth official.

Dutchman Dennis Higler will be in charge of the video assistant referee (VAR).

The match between Wales and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be played on Thursday at the Cardiff City Stadium, kicking off at 8:45 PM.

In case of a victory, the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina would qualify for the play-off final, where they would host the winner of the match between Northern Ireland and Italy in Zenica on March 31st.
