Denmark's handball players demolish Germany and win gold at the Paris Olympics

(Patria) - Denmark's handball players convincingly defeated the German selection with a score of 39:26 and won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Paris.

The final match of the Olympic tournament was played at the "Pierre-Mauroy" stadium, and Denmark started the match furiously, leading 21:12 already in the first half. They dominated in the second half as well and did not allow the Germans to threaten their great celebration at any moment.

The match ended with a score of 39:26, and the most effective player for the Danes was the brilliant Mathias Gidsel with 11 goals. For Germany, Juri Knorr was the most effective with six goals.

Denmark reached the Olympic gold medal with seven wins in all seven matches, and top scorer Gidsel became the all-time leading scorer in the history of the Olympic tournaments with 62 goals.
