BiH representatives say: Focus on San Marino, team atmosphere is stronger than ever

(Patria) - The first media activities at the gathering of the BiH football team were held in Ilidža, and goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj and striker Ermedin Demirović addressed the media representatives.

Vasilj said, among other things:

"Most of the players arrived yesterday, and the rest will arrive today, so we are eagerly awaiting these two matches. Regarding the first match, we must be careful and we know how tricky those teams can be on counter-attacks if we don't score. I think we need to be maximally focused and use the whole week to prepare well for the match."

Nikola Vasilj added:

"We all know how important the match against Austria will be, and that is precisely why it is important to focus on San Marino. We want to use this week in the best possible way, to prepare well, and to enter the match with maximum seriousness. It doesn't have to mean it will be easy, but we all know that an early goal can take the match in a different direction. However, if that doesn't happen, we must have patience. Of course, we accept the role of favorites and our focus should be only on the first match, and after that, we can think about Austria."

Demirović commented on his form and the next opponent:

"It is very important for every player who plays in attack to get into form, and to know the feeling of scoring a goal and winning a match. We will do our best to resolve the match against San Marino as quickly as possible, but it won't be easy. They have many good players, many offensive players, and it is important to use the chances we will have. The match against San Marino on our home ground was difficult, but we had chances to resolve it earlier. That will be the goal now, and we will work on that in the coming days, to go there as prepared as possible."

Ermedin Demirović also spoke about the atmosphere within the team:

"I don't remember ever having a better feeling than now when I came here. I think each of us knows why we are here and we are on the right track. We have the opportunity to do something special this year, which was not expected at the beginning. We have created a real team and a family relationship among us. Everyone is in form at their club, which gives a nice feeling when we come to the gathering."

Today's training will be open to the media for the first 15 minutes and starts at 5:30 PM."
