(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina sitting volleyball team has achieved its third victory at the Golden Nations League being held in Poland. Although our team took the lead in the first set, Germany managed to equalize, after which in the third set the BiH team again took a 2:1 lead in sets. However, the Germans did not give up and managed to equalize again, leading to a fifth set where BiH secured a 3:2 victory.
In the fifth set, Germany started well again, but with better concentration our team achieved a third consecutive victory and a maximum result at this tournament.
One of the best players in the world and a mainstay of the BiH team, Mirzet Duran, points out that the fifth set, in which our team mustered more knowledge and strength, was decisive.
“Germany is a well-known opponent to us, the match was really tough, going to five sets. We managed to turn it around in the end, even though we were trailing twice in the fifth set. I think we deserved to win, we mustered more strength and, of course, knowledge in the fifth set and managed to win. The tournament is really high-quality, we can see that from the teams that are here. We can say that with today's match against Croatia, if we win, we secure first place,” said Duran.
Bosnia and Herzegovina plays its next match against Croatia at 4:30 PM, while tomorrow they will face hosts Poland.
