
(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina national sitting volleyball team won its fifth title in the "Golden Nations League" competition.
The team led by coach Ifet Mahmutović, in a dramatic final, after five sets played, defeated Germany and deservedly won the title, achieving a maximum of six wins out of as many matches in this year's edition of the competition.
In the first set, our national team had three set points, leading 24:23, 25:24, and 26:25, but the Germans managed to save them, turned the score around, and took a 1:0 lead in sets, with a score of 28:26.
In the second set, our team completely dominated, equalizing to 1:1 in sets with a score of 25:18.
The third set went to Germany, who took a 2:1 lead in sets again (25:19), but our selection responded and secured the decisive fifth set with a score of 25:20.
In the fifth, decisive set, our guys took a 9:5 lead and routinely brought the match to an end, triumphing 3:2 in sets ("26:28, 25:18, 19:25, 25:10, 15:7") and thus securing their fifth "Golden Nations League" title.
We remind you that on the way to the final, they successively defeated: Croatia (3:0), Ukraine (3:1), Germany (3:0), Poland (3:1), and Turkey (3:0) in the group stage.
