(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina sitting volleyball team achieved a victory at the start of the Golden League of Nations being held in Poland. The Bosnian team defeated the Ukrainian national team with a score of 3:0 (25:20, 25:18, 25:19), opening the competition in an excellent manner where they defend last year's title and their status as five-time champions of this competition.
The players of coach Ifet Mahmutović controlled the game throughout the entire match and deservedly secured the victory.
“We cannot say that the match was easy. Ukraine showed the quality they built through the tournament in Sarajevo — it is a very good and well-coordinated team. Due to captain Delalić's earlier injuries, we could not count on him, so during all three sets we tried different rotations and lineup combinations. However, it turned out that both lineups can respond well to the tasks on the court, which certainly pleases us. What follows and will be a real challenge are tomorrow's matches against Croatia and Germany. I believe we will show our quality and that the result will not be absent,” Mahmutović emphasized.
The Bosnian national team has another match today, with the opponent being the Hungarian selection. The match is scheduled for 6 PM with a live broadcast on the Paravolley Europe YouTube channel.
