(Patria) - Igman and Velež opened the 16th round of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a draw at the City Stadium in Konjic.
The small Herzegovinian derby ended with a score of 1:1, thus Igman broke a streak of seven consecutive Premier League losses.
Velež took the lead from their first real chance of the match. It was the 21st minute when Vehavbović crossed, Haskić headed it to the far post, and Mlinarić, who has been excellent this season, sent the ball into the net.
In the 36th minute, Savić handled the ball in the Velež penalty area after an attempt by the home team. Referee Peljto initially signaled for play to continue, but after an intervention from the VAR room, he went to the monitor to review the contentious situation and pointed to the spot. Denković placed the ball on the penalty spot and confidently scored for 1:1.
Just as the second half began, Lohan again gave the 'Rođeni' the lead, but the visitors' celebration was short-lived as the goal was disallowed due to an offside position by assistant Haskić.
Velež had their best chance in the second half through Haskić in the 55th minute, who shot high over the goal from a promising position.
The 'Rođeni' also tried in the 69th minute through Hrkač, but after his header from the near post, no one was in the right place.
Velež is in fifth place with 20 points, Igman is ninth with six points less.
