Draw in Posušje, Gedžić denied Sarajevo a penalty

(Patria) - The first match of the 17th round of the WWin League of Bosnia and Herzegovina was played at Mokri Dol, and the final score was 0:0.

The duel at Mokri Dol started brilliantly with the first chance in the first minute of the match.

Begić tried to shoot from distance, but Rogić sent the ball to a corner. After the corner, Abrego tried, but he shot over the goal.

Giorgi Guliashvili had a great opportunity in the 11th minute of the match; he went one-on-one with the goalkeeper but fumbled and failed to take a shot.

Posušje tried in the 17th minute through Bekavac, who crossed and hit the crossbar, but there was no major danger.

Sarajevo scored a goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Giorgi Guliashvili was in an offside position before the goal was scored, and shortly before that, the visitors had demanded a penalty, believing that a player from the home team had handled the ball.

There were no changes to the score by the end of the first half, and the teams went into the break with a 0:0 score.

In the second half, Bubanja tried in the 49th minute of the match, but the ball went wide of the goal.

Just five minutes later, Turkeš tried, and after him, Beganović, but both shots were blocked.

Zoran Zekić tried to shake up the team with a change in the forward line, and from the 63rd minute of the match, Renan Oliveira played instead of Turkeš.

Just two minutes after coming on, Oliveira had a great chance but failed to capitalize on Guliashvili's cross.

Immediately on the other side, Begić tried, but Rogić defended well.

Guliashvili tried again in the 69th minute of the match, but his shot from 20 meters went wide of the goal.

It was the 75th minute of the match when Rogić reacted poorly and deflected the ball to Hanuljak, but fortunately for him, he also shot poorly.

A controversial moment occurred in the 81st minute of the match when Stapić and Guliashvili were in a duel.

VAR was consulted on this occasion due to a potential penalty, but Gedžić did not decide to point to the spot.

In the replay shown during the VAR review, it was visible that Stapić hit the Georgian, but there was no penalty for Sarajevo, and the Maroon team was clearly wronged at Mokri Dol.

The real question is how it is possible that the main referee of this match did not see it. However, it must be honest to say that we are slowly getting used to such situations, which is actually the biggest defeat for all those who follow the elite rank of BiH football.

Yellow cards were issued to the coaching staff of the Maroon team for protesting from the bench.

Until the end of the match, the play was open on both sides, and Unušić had a good chance in the last minute but only won a corner.

Mehmedović crossed the ball, but Vrgoč intervened well.

Ultimately, the points were shared at Mokri Dol, as the nets remained goalless.
