(Patria) - Real Madrid will be strengthened for the final stretch of the current season by their first-choice goalkeeper, Belgian Thibaut Courtois, and Brazilian footballer Eder Militao, who return to the pitch after serious injuries.
“The two of them are returning to the squad after the international break, and we will be stronger with them from the beginning of April,” confirmed Real coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Both suffered ligament injuries at the start of the season and were certainly missed by Ancelotti throughout the recent months. Both are currently in the final phase of recovery, and they will soon finish individual training and join the team.
This is also good news for Belgium, who will have the 31-year-old Courtois available for the upcoming European Championship in Germany.
The duo will also be able to help Real from the Champions League quarter-finals, as well as in the final stretch of La Liga, where Real is defending its top spot. They have five points more than Barcelona and a game in hand, while third-placed Girona currently trails Real by seven points.
