Radović apologizes to Sarajevo fans and presents his side of the story regarding the red card in the tunnel

(Patria) - Sarajevo player Slaviša Radović has spoken out after receiving a red card last night in the derby against Željezničar at the Grbavica stadium.

Radović addressed the fans via the official Facebook page of FK Sarajevo.

"To all our loyal fans, I wish to offer my sincere apologies for yesterday's match.

I have had a turbulent week. I had a death in the family, but despite that, I wanted to be with the team in a very important match.

Things are not always as they seem and as they are presented to the public. I received a red card due to an alleged scuffle in the tunnel.

I want to clarify that the situation was staged by the opposing team, and at the moment I received the card, there was no pushing from my side.

I remain committed to the values that define our team, which is certainly fair-play on and off the field," stated Radović.

He also touched upon the support he received from Sarajevo fans.

"Your support means a lot to me, and I can confidently say that I would never do anything that would jeopardize our team and our passion for the game," concluded Radović.

The match report from the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina explained why Radović was "sent off" in the tunnel at halftime.

"Radović Slaviša, during the break: unsportsmanlike conduct - hitting an opposing team player with an open palm to the face," was recorded in the report by delegate Jasmin Memišević.

Let us remind you, the 152nd Sarajevo derby was played last night at Grbavica without goals.
