Radnik and Široki Brijeg share points in Bijeljina

(Patria) - The match of the second round of the WWIN League of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Bijeljina between Radnik and Široki Brijeg has ended.

The guests can be more satisfied with the final result, as they managed to secure one point despite the fact that they were in a subordinate position on the field at the "City Stadium" for most of the match. The match ended with a score of 1:1, scsport.ba reports.

Already in the first minute, we saw a good chance for the home team. Nathan went one-on-one with Široki Brijeg's goalkeeper but shot poorly, and the ball went wide of the goal, wasting an excellent opportunity to open the match.

In the fourth minute, Jovanović also found himself in a good position, almost completely alone in front of Tomić's goal, but the ball went to a corner after an intervention by Široki Brijeg's defense.

In the 16th minute, there was a scramble in front of the guests' goal, but Tomić eventually collected the ball and cleared the danger. This rounded off the opening of the match, which completely belonged to Radnik.

In the 21st minute, we saw another good attack by Radnik. Krajišnik found Vasić well after a free kick, the latter sent a cross, but Široki Brijeg's defense cleared the danger in time.

Ten minutes later, Radnik threatened again. First, Pavlović headed the ball, and his shot was saved by Tomić, and then in the next attack, he saved Pantelić's attempt in a one-on-one situation.

In the 36th minute, we also saw signs of life from Široki Brijeg. After a counterattack, which was preceded by another good chance for Radnik by Pantelić, Kpan ran alone in front of the home goalkeeper, and the latter handled it excellently, saving his team's goal.

In the 41st minute, after a VAR intervention, the main referee awarded a penalty to the guests after a Radnik player handled the ball in his own penalty area. Marijan Ćavar was accurate from the spot for 1:0 in favor of the guests, and this was his second goal of the season. That was the last thing we saw in the first half of this encounter.

The second half began with a more offensive game from Radnik, whose players wanted to equalize as soon as possible to confirm their dominant play in the first half.

In the 50th minute, Vasić shot from about 20 meters just over the guests' goal, and ten minutes later, Pantelić shot well, but the guests' defense blocked his shot at the last moment.

In the 65th minute, Pantelić shot well, but Musa blocked his shot, and then Mehanović also tried, but Tomić caught the ball.

Radnik's offensive paid off in the 67th minute when, after a corner, Tomić reacted poorly with his defensive teammates, the ball bounced to Janjić, who scored from the edge of the penalty area for a deserved equalizer.

In the 73rd minute, we also recorded the first serious chance for Široki Brijeg when Kožulj shot from a free kick, but the ball went high over Radnik's goal.

In the 81st minute, we saw new excitement in front of the guests' goal. Da Silva went almost alone in front of the guests' goalkeeper and shot, but Tomić with an excellent reflex saved his shot and prevented the home team's turnaround. Five minutes later, Mehanović tried to lob Tomić after a solo run, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out of play.

Radnik continued to press until the end of the match but without much success or a chance for a turnaround, so his team will certainly have plenty to regret from today's encounter, in which they were far superior to Široki Brijeg.

In the next round, Radnik will visit Zrinjski, while Široki Brijeg will host Velež, and tomorrow (August 12) at 5:30 PM, we expect the last match of the second round when Sloga Meridian will host Sarajevo at the renovated "Luke" Stadium in Doboj.
