(Patria) - For the past few days, snow has also gripped western Serbia, and those who are always on the front line are certainly the road workers, who are on the ground 24 hours a day.
When they managed to clear and keep all priority roads passable, they started clearing local, rural roads.
It was then, on the ground in the village of Dobroselica in the middle of the night, that the road workers showed they are truly real heroes. One of them first spotted, and then rescued, a roe deer that had gotten stuck in the snow on a fence.
- The crew that was working the third shift last night maintaining the road in the village of Dobroselica came across a trapped roe deer, stuck in deep snow with its legs caught.
One worker managed to spot it in the pitch darkness, then reach it through the deep snow and free it - told RINA agency director of KJP Zlatibor Srđan Pantović.
When he managed to free it, it was clear that the roe deer was in good condition and it simply hopped away into nature.
