In the Champions League final on May 30 in Budapest, we will see PSG and Arsenal

(Patria) - Paris Saint-Germain has advanced to the final of the Champions League.

In the second leg of the semi-final, Bayern and PSG drew 1:1 tonight at the Allianz Arena in Munich, but that was enough for the Parisians as they won the first leg in Paris 5:4.

Tonight's duel offered everything that makes the Champions League recognizable - an early lead, great pressure from the hosts, controversial referee decisions, and a dramatic finish.

PSG started the match excellently and took the lead in the 3rd minute when Ousmane Dembélé silenced the home crowd with an attractive volley under the crossbar, making Bayern's task even more difficult.

After that, the German giant took the initiative and constantly applied pressure, while Luis Enrique's team waited for counter-attacking chances.

Bayern had more possession and tried through the wings and individual actions of Musiala, Olise, and Luis Díaz, but without enough concrete effect in the final third.

PSG, on the other hand, was dangerous on the transition and could have ended the tie earlier several times.

Désiré Doué came closest to scoring, but Manuel Neuer stopped him at crucial moments, keeping Bayern in the game.

In the second half, a similar pattern continued - Bayern attacked, PSG threatened on the counter.

In the 71st minute, Kvaratskhelia set up Doué, but his shot went just wide, while Barcola also had a great chance in the closing stages, but Neuer reacted brilliantly again.

The match was also marked by numerous refereeing controversies, with Bayern players protesting for potential penalties and a second yellow card for Nuno Mendes, while the hosts' nervousness grew as time went on.

However, the drama culminated in stoppage time. In the 94th minute, Harry Kane scored after an action in the penalty area with a powerful shot into the top corner, bringing Bayern an equalizer, to the eruption of cheers in the stands.

However, the goal came too late for the hosts to achieve a complete comeback and extra time. PSG preserved their aggregate lead and secured a grand final.

The Parisians will therefore play the Champions League final on May 30 in Budapest against Arsenal, while Bayern once again remains without the final despite another European drama, writes arenasport.
