Sven Goran Erikson passes away

(Patria) - After a long and serious illness, Sven Goran Erikson has passed away at the age of 76.

He was battling terminal pancreatic cancer, which was diagnosed in January this year.

In a recently released documentary, Erikson revealed how he is coping with the moment he is living through, given that he does not have much time left.

- I have had a good life. I think we are all still afraid of the day of our own death, but that is also part of life. You have to learn to accept it. I hope that in the end people will say – yes, he was a good man. But of course, not everyone will say that - he said.

In his rich coaching career, he managed, among others, Benfica, Roma, Fiorentina, Lazio, Manchester City, Leicester, the national teams of England, Mexico, Ivory Coast, and many others.
