(Patria) - Famous Romanian football expert and coach Mircea Lucescu has passed away at the age of 81.
This sad information was announced by Romanian journalist Emanuel Rosu, confirming that Lucescu spent his last days in the hospital.
The experienced coach was hospitalized a few days ago after feeling unwell. Doctors fought for his life after cardiac arrest, but unfortunately, he could not win the toughest battle of his life.
The experienced coach was active almost until the very end. He recently led the Romanian national team in the World Cup playoffs against Turkey, where his team was eliminated.

His dedication to the game and work until the last days once again confirms the greatness of a man who dedicated his entire life to football.
Football has lost a great name, but Lucescu's legacy will live on through the generations he created.
