
(Patria) - Tima Džebo, one of the best female basketball players of Bosnia and Herzegovina of all time, passed away at the age of 62 after a long battle with a serious illness.
Born in Olovo on October 24, 1963, Tima Džebo had an impressive basketball career.
Known as an unsurpassed scorer and a great fighter on the court, she played for numerous clubs, and with the SFR Yugoslavia national team, she won a silver medal at the 1990 World Championship.
Also, as a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, she brought our homeland its first medal at major competitions, gold at the 1993 Mediterranean Games.
The Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the unforgettable Tima Džebo.
