(Patria) - Former head of the Clinic for Nuclear Medicine at the University Clinical Center Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Elma Kučukalić-Selimović, has passed away.
Kučukalić-Selimović had a Specialist Practice, and in her rich medical career, she published the monograph "Osteoporosis - Diagnostics, Prevention, and Treatment", which was widely read in the profession.
Bosnian actress Hasija Borić-Stojić bid farewell to Kučukalić-Selimović on social media.
"Another bright star of my generation from Ognjen Prica Gymnasium (1968-1972) has been extinguished. I must mention the name of Prof. Dr. Elma Kučukalić-Selimović, an endocrinologist, one of the greatest experts on the thyroid gland. She fought a terrible disease heroically for a long time, and she lost that battle last night (Monday, ed.) at 9:30 PM", wrote the aforementioned actress.
The family will announce the time of Elma Kučukalić-Selimović's funeral and burial later.
