BiH Premier League: Sarajevo hosts Borac tonight at Koševsko

(Patria) - As part of the 14th round of the BiH Football Premier League, two matches are scheduled for today, and the focus will undoubtedly be on the clash at Koševsko where Sarajevo and Borac will face each other.

At 1:30 PM in Doboj, Sloga and Široki Brijeg will meet. This is an important match for both teams.

The home team needs a win to break their poor run of results and escape the danger zone, while the visitors certainly want a positive result after two consecutive losses to Velež and Zrinjski.

And at 6:30 PM, at our largest stadium, home team Sarajevo and Borac from Banja Luka will meet.

Along with tomorrow's duel between Zrinjski and Željezničar, this is the derby of this round and carries great significance for both teams.

After a rather disappointing start to the season, Sarajevo, with new coach Mario Cvitanović, has strung together several good performances and results.

Today's match will therefore provide an answer to the question of whether the maroon team has definitively overcome the crisis and can join the fight for the top of the table.

A potential victory would bring Sarajevo to 21 points and, depending on the outcome in Doboj, up to fourth place, which in many cases means a place leading to Europe.

In addition, a victory would bring Sarajevo, at least for a moment, within seven points of the leader, which would certainly improve the atmosphere in the maroon team towards the end of the first half of the season.

However, this match is also of great importance to Borac, given that only a victory guarantees them to remain at the top of the table.

The team from Banja Luka has not been brilliant recently, and a complicating factor is that they arrive at Koševsko weakened.

Vuković has been out for a while due to injury, as has Caroline, and Herrera will also miss the derby after receiving a red card in the previous round.
