House of Representatives of BiH PS adopts Budget Bill for 2025 in first reading, new session at 4 PM

(Patria) - The House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Bill on the Budget of Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and International Obligations of BiH for this year, but in the first reading and only in the second round.

This means that the amendment phase, adoption in the second reading, and then all of this in the House of Peoples of the BiH PS will follow.

The Budget Bill was adopted with 26 votes in favor and 12 abstentions, while only one vote was from Republika Srpska.

A new urgent session will be held at 4 PM to consider the submitted amendments in the second reading.

The first Deputy Speaker, who is chairing the session today, Darko Babalj (SDS), stated that there are requests for three urgent sessions.

Otherwise, at the 39th session of the Constitutional-Legal Committee of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the consistency with the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina of the Bill on the Budget of Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and International Obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2025, proposed by the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was determined.

An urgent session of the House of Representatives was also requested, and on the agenda is the Collegium Committee's Report on efforts to reach an agreement on MP Saša Magazinović's proposal to include a new item on the agenda of the 32nd session of the House of Representatives, which reads: Proposal of the decision on the formation of the office and the procedure for appointing the chief negotiator and deputy chief negotiator of Bosnia and Herzegovina for conducting negotiations on accession to the European Union, number: 01-50-1-2217/25.
