Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Numan Kurtulmuş in BiH: Meeting with the Collegiums of Both Houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH

(Patria) - Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Türkiye, Prof. Dr. Numan Kurtulmuş, is visiting BiH. Today, he delivered a lecture at IUS on the occasion of the start of the new academic year.

Kurtulmuş emphasised the support that Türkiye provides to BiH. Speaking about the suffering in Gaza, he recalled historical crimes such as those in Auschwitz and Srebrenica, where thousands of people were killed before the eyes of the European and world so-called “civilised” world.

Prof. Kurtulmuş stressed that, just as the perpetrators of Auschwitz and Srebrenica faced international courts, the perpetrators of crimes in Palestine will also be held accountable before international courts, based on historical evidence.

Prof. Kurtulmuş drew attention to the unprecedented asymmetric use of force in Gaza, where about two million people live. He stated that "about 10,000 people have been killed. There are no hospitals, no electricity. They cannot even treat the seriously wounded. In such a situation, the world shows the same attitude. Some stand by the oppressor, some do not see, and some become accomplices in this disgrace."

Tomorrow, accompanied by a delegation, he will hold a meeting with the Collegium of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Collegium of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After this meeting, he will hold a press conference on the meeting and the current situation in the world.
