Football celebration in Lipnica: Stadium opening and exhibition match FK Radnik - 'Stars of Bosnian football'

(Patria) - In the Tuzla neighborhood of Lipnica, the opening of the "Sakib Malkočević Sok" stadium is scheduled for tomorrow, with the program starting at 2:30 PM. Admission is free.

On that occasion, an exhibition match will be played between Football Club Radnik Lipnica and the team "Stars of Bosnian football". The match is scheduled for 4:30 PM.



This major event for Lipnica will not remain local in character, thanks to the "Stars of Bosnian football" team, featuring numerous names of Bosnian football and sports legends, under the leadership of the selector and founder of the humanitarian stars, journalist Sinan Sinanović.

The stadium of FK Radnik in Lipnica will, from tomorrow, bear the name "Sakib Malkočević Sok" instead of "Joševica".

In this way, the Lipnica club, which celebrates its 70th anniversary next year, wishes to pay tribute to a great man, player, coach and Bosnian national team selector Sakib Malkočević, who began his brilliant sports career precisely at this club with a long tradition.



What Sok achieved and how important he was for Bosnian football is more or less known. His home club, instead of Sloboda where he realized his childhood dream and achieved outstanding results, wants to permanently mark the memory of the "human giant", a footballer and coach who is still a role model for many. Such a gesture by FK Radnik is commendable.

Tomorrow at 3:30 PM, a commemorative plaque with the name of Sakib Malkočević Sok will be placed at the stadium in Lipnica.

On behalf of the hosts, who initiated the naming of the stadium in Lipnica after Sakib Malkočević Sok, the organization of the one-day sports celebration in the former mining town of Lipnica was carried out by members of the Management Board Damir Delić (also Radnik's coach), Azur Memišević, Ademir Ferhatoski, Admir Bektić, Admir Deljić and Muris Husagić.



The selector of the "Stars of Bosnian football", journalist Sinan Sinanović, has published the list of players who responded to the call for the exhibition match. The following have confirmed their attendance: Mehmed Baždarević, Nikola Nikić, Vlatko Glavaš, Enes Mešanović, Mirsad Dedić, Adnan Nezirov, Nermin Šabić, Denis Karić, Jasmin Hukić, Samir Bekrić, Alen Škoro, Vedin Musić, Djelo Muharemović, Veldin Karić, Nusret Mehić, Denis Sadiković, Munir Talović, Damir Smajlović, Amer Osmanagić, Suad Jašarević, Nedžad Bajrović, Amel Tuka, Miralem Huremović, Asmir Ramić, Ermin Zec, Samir Šabanović, Haris Spahić, Adnan Mujezinović, Omer Joldić, Nedžad Kopačić, Damir Hadžić, Mersudin Ahmetović, Alem Tabaković, Haris Alić, Samir Adanalić, Mersid Bureković, Almir Šećkanović.

The home team selection, which will try to 'spoil the plans' of the football legends, consists of the following names: Armin Bečić (captain), Tarik Džinić, Ajdin Gerović, Josip Ventić, Elmin Kovačević, Amar Džafić, Haris Suljić, Aldin Djedović, Tarik Mujčinović, Veldin Džafić, Amel Kovačević, Armin Faslić, Admir Deljić, Zoran Kunić, Dalibor Kunić, Ahmed Dadanović, Haris Brkić, Amel Husagić, Armin Mrkaljević, Emir Husagić and Amar Šabanović. The team will be led by Damir Delić.

According to the protocol, at 1:00 PM, delegations from the teams will lay flowers at the grave of Sakib Malkočević. At 2:30 PM, the ceremony at the stadium will officially begin, with speeches by representatives of both teams and the wife of the late Sakib, Biljana Malkočević.

At 4:30 PM, the exhibition match begins (played 2x30 minutes), officiated by Fahir Trakić, and his assistants Zahid Djedović and Ajla Mujezinović.

The kick-off will be taken by Sakib's daughters, Irma Malkočević, a tourism worker, and Mirna Malkočević, a pharmacist.

After the match, at 7:00 PM, a joint gathering and dinner is planned at the House of Solidarity in Lipnica.
