Flooding of Sarajevo at Grbavica: Hiroš scores and Galić twice for Željezničar's victory

(Patria) - The 151st Sarajevo derby was played at Grbavica. The blue and burgundy camps awaited this clash in different moods. Željezničar is fighting for survival, while the team from Koševo is battling for a place on the European stage. Also, the home team had great support from the stands, while the guests from Koševo played without the presence of their fans due to the well-known events during the day. In the end, it was 3:0 for Željezničar. But, let's go in order.



The home team, carried by their fans, started offensively. However, Sarajevo threatened first in the 4th minute through Đuričković, who headed the ball over the goal after a cross from Radović, reports scsport.ba.

Just two minutes later, Penaranda tried to find a teammate, but Željezničar's defense was alert.

In the 12th minute, Amer Hiroš brilliantly scored from a free kick from over 30 meters. He took advantage of goalkeeper Iliev's amateurish positioning and beat him with an excellent shot. Previously, Iliev had a verbal clash with Krpić. All in all, a masterpiece by Hiroš.

A few minutes later, Peneranda made a mistake, but the home team did not use the good opportunity. After that, the game was played between the two penalty areas. In the 30th minute, after a set piece taken by Radović, Cocalić and Muftić collided in the air. The Blue's stopper cleared the ball for a corner.

A great battle was fought in the midfield. The home team guarded their lead, while the guests had no way to threaten the goal of the team from Grbavica. The teams went to the break with a minimal home lead.

In the second half, there was one substitution on each side immediately. The injured Bismarck was replaced by Boljević for the Blues, while in the Burgundy team, Anđušić was replaced by Hasić.

The 53rd minute was being played when referee Sivac called a foul on Radović. However, Oliveira's shot was blocked by the wall. In those moments, Željezničar was playing the match in a defensive grip.

Nevertheless, in the 57th minute, Kyeremeh made a mistake for the third time in a few minutes, and in the continuation of the action, Galić scored for 2:0. A lack of ideas from the Burgundy team and a doubled lead for the Blues. The team from Koševo looked completely without ambition and system, which the home team skillfully exploited.

On the bench, Simon Rožman looked completely lost. He tried to stir the team with substitutions, but without success.

In the 70th minute, Galić scored for 3:0 and completely flooded Sarajevo. After that, Rožman made desperate moves with substitutions, but it was clear that everything was over. In the end, it remained 3:0. With this triumph, Željezničar escaped the danger zone, while Sarajevo recorded as many defeats in three championship matches in the spring and jeopardized their place leading to Europe.

At the end of the match, Sarajevo's goalkeeper received a red card, and Renan Oliveira stood in goal.
