Porsche experiences significant sales drop in 2025.

(Patria) - Porsche has released global delivery figures for 2025, showing a 10 percent drop in sales compared to the previous year.

A total of 279,449 vehicles were delivered worldwide. The decline was recorded in almost all regions, with a particularly pronounced drop in the Chinese market.

The biggest decline was recorded in China, where deliveries decreased by 26 percent, continuing the negative trend from 2024 when the drop was 28 percent.

Porsche cites difficult economic conditions and a slowdown in the growth of the electric vehicle market as reasons.

In Europe, excluding Germany, sales fell by 13 percent, while a drop of 16 percent was recorded in the domestic German market.

The only region that did not record a decline was North America, where sales remained at the same level as in 2024.

The European result was partly influenced by the withdrawal of the internal combustion engine Macan due to new cybersecurity regulations.

Furthermore, in October, production of the 718 Boxster and Cayman models for the European market was halted.

At the same time, competition from local brands is strengthening in the Chinese market, further impacting sales, especially of electric models.

The electric Taycan model recorded a 22 percent drop in sales in 2025, following a 49 percent drop recorded the previous year.

The Cayenne SUV also recorded a significant drop of 21 percent, with 80,886 units delivered. Sales of the 718 series models fell by 21 percent, while the Panamera recorded a drop of 6 percent.

Despite the overall decline, two models recorded sales growth.

The Macan, aided by the arrival of its new electric version, became Porsche's best-selling model with 84,328 deliveries, representing a growth of 1.9 percent. More than half of the Macans sold were electric models.

The iconic sports car, the 911 model, also recorded sales growth of 1.3 percent, with 51,583 vehicles delivered, setting a new sales record.

Porsche states that the sales drop was expected and that the company remains focused on a strategy that prioritizes value over volume.

Nevertheless, the results for 2025 show that even premium brands are not immune to changing market conditions and strong competition.
