Defeat for Sarajevo's Bosna at the start of the Europa Cup

(Patria) - The basketball players of Sarajevo's Bosna were defeated tonight at the start of the group stage of the FIBA Europa Cup, away to the Polish team PGE Start Lublin with a score of 90:80.

The first quarter ended in a draw (17:17), with the Students going into halftime with a two-point lead (40:38).

However, the hosts played much better and won the third quarter (23:18). The scoreboard then read 61:58.

By the end of the match, the Poles increased their lead to a final 90:80.

For the Students, Persons scored 19 points, while Atić and Audige also reached double figures with 12 points each, and Halilović and Kovačević each scored 10.

The home team Lublin was led to victory by Tevin Mack with as many as 27 points.

Bosna already has a new game on Friday, in the ABA League against Podgorica's Budućnost in Zetra.
