(Patria) - The footballers of Sloga and Sarajevo opened the 3rd round of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The match in Doboj was played in difficult conditions, with the temperature at the start of the game being 36 degrees Celsius.
In such circumstances, the home team fared better, celebrating a 2-1 victory, reports Faktor.
Sloga took the lead in the very first attack. Predragović intercepted the ball in the center, and Toni Jović found the back of Banić's net.
It was checked whether Predragović had handled the ball when the home team won possession in the center. After a VAR check, referee Martinović awarded the goal and pointed to the center circle.
In the 8th minute, Savić attempted a shot, but the Sarajevo goalkeeper saved. Sarajevo could have equalized in the 17th minute. Erić was playing around, but Mlinarić failed to punish the Sloga goalkeeper's nonchalance.
A minute later, after another nice home team move, Jović shot over the goal.
A poor Sarajevo had their first and only chance of the first half in the 38th minute. After a longer build-up, Krdžalić attempted a shot but failed to hit the target.
In stoppage time of the first half, Toni Jović doubled Sloga's lead, scoring from the penalty spot.
Based on everything seen, the penalty was justifiably awarded.
However, what happened before the corner from which the guests won the penalty is questionable. Filip Jović complained that he was struck and illegally stopped, but referee Martinović and his assistants did not award anything.
After the corner, Filip Jović brought down Grabež, and the referee from Čapljina, after a VAR review, pointed to the spot.
In the second half, Sarajevo went in search of an equalizer and a comeback. In the 52nd minute, the guests had a counterattack, Kyeremeh tried to set up Mlinarić, but Grabež intercepted the ball and saved his team.
Four minutes later, Beganović tried to find Turkeš, but Milanović cleared for a corner.
Sarajevo pulled one back in the 67th minute. Kuprešak crossed, and Kyeremeh headed past Erić.
In the 91st minute, the guests had a good chance to equalize, but Guliashvili's shot was blocked.
In the continuation of the move, Kuprešak shot high over the goal. The last chance fell to Đorđević, who shot wide from about 30 meters.
