(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina basketball team was defeated today by China in a friendly match played in Nanjing.
The Dragons started the match well, leading 4:2, but the home team quickly took control of the game and finished the first quarter with a comfortable lead (25:16).
A better period of play from the Dragons followed in the next quarter. With points from Halilović and Atić, the BiH team reduced the deficit to 25:21, and then managed to equalize (40:40). However, the Chinese team still finished the first half with a lead – 48:43.
The second half of the match saw the home team dominate, going on an 18-3 run to build a huge lead (66:46). After that, the game became one-sided.
The Chinese basketball players ultimately won with a score of 90:70.
The winning team was led by Liao Sanning and Cheng Shuaipeng (13 points each), while Atić (17 points), Gegić (15), and Halilović (12) stood out for our team.
In two days, the Dragons will play another friendly match against the same opponent in this country.
