Plenković announced the dissolution of the Croatian Parliament by March 22 at the latest

(Patria) - Prime Minister and President of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) Andrej Plenković announced today the dissolution of the Croatian Parliament by March 22 at the latest, stating that the parliamentary elections will be held before the European Parliament elections.

Addressing reporters after a session of the wider HDZ Presidency, he said that they had made some key decisions regarding the dissolution of the Croatian Parliament and the upcoming parliamentary elections.

- The first strategic decision is that the Croatian Parliament elections will be held before the European Parliament elections. The second is that this will be the last session of the Croatian Parliament before its dissolution - Plenković stated, clarifying that the Parliament will be dissolved by March 22 at the latest.

The HDZ reporting assembly will be held on March 17 in the "Lisinski" hall, exactly four years and two days after they were elected as president, deputy, and four vice-presidents.

Plenković announced that he will lead the electoral list in the first electoral district, Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković in the second, Presidency member and Varaždin County Prefect Anđelko Stričak in the third, and Minister of Defense Ivan Anušić in the fourth.

Minister of Labor and Social Policy Marin Piletić will be in the fifth, Minister of the Interior Davor Božinović in the sixth, Minister of Veterans Tomo Medved in the seventh, Minister of Transport Oleg Butković in the eighth, Minister of Justice Ivan Malenica in the ninth, Minister of Construction Branko Bačić in the tenth.

The electoral list in the 11th electoral district will be led by the State Secretary of the Central State Office for Croats Outside Croatia Zvonko Milas.
