Plenković: Milanović is a malignant element of Croatian society

(Patria) - Croatian Prime Minister and leader of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) Andrej Plenković accused President Zoran Milanović of destructive behavior, violation of ethical and legal principles, and dictatorial manners.

Commenting on Milanović's latest public statements, Plenković said he is a "malignant element" of political life and society.

Plenković, responding to journalists' questions, including the "exchange of messages and statements" between Milanović and Minister Oleg Butković, said that Milanović is "the leader of the violation of not only the Constitution, but also general and fundamental principles of the constitutional order," Hina reports.

Milanović had previously announced that, despite being the President of the country, he would run in the parliamentary elections on April 17, claiming he would become Prime Minister.

Recalling the assessment of the Constitutional Court and other constitutional-legal experts that Milanović is violating the Constitution, Plenković stated that he believes there is no one in Croatia who is not aware of who is "this malignant element of Croatian political life and society".

- It is certainly him, who cannot look back on anything in the balance of his mandate - added Plenković, assessing that Milanović "has no achievements, no results".

Plenković also assessed that Milanović only has a low political culture, vulgarity, primitivism, and personal insults to numerous actors, and added that the President of Croatia has "violated all ethical and legal principles" and that "people will punish this".

He added that all those who support Milanović are also violating the Constitution.

- Therefore, on April 17, the Croatian people will tell his accomplices that they will remain in opposition for another four years, and we will send him into political irrelevance.

Because we have never experienced such a disgrace for Croatia, either internally or externally. We will not allow abnormal behavior to become normal - Plenković stated.
