Sweden's firecracker start to the World Cup

(Patria) - Sweden's footballers opened their World Cup campaign with a convincing victory, defeating Tunisia 5-1 at the BBVA Stadium in Monterrey.

The Swedes took the lead as early as the seventh minute with a goal from Ayari, and the advantage was doubled by Isak after an assist from Gyökeres. Tunisia reduced the deficit just before half-time through Rekik to make it 2-1.

In the second half, Sweden dominated completely. Gyökeres, assisted by Isak, made it 3-1, then Svanberg, again assisted by Isak, scored for 4-1, before Ayari set the final score at 5-1 in stoppage time with his second goal of the match.

Sweden thus tops Group F with three points. The Netherlands and Japan have one point each, while Tunisia is without points. In the second round, Sweden faces the Netherlands, and Japan takes on Tunisia.
