(Patria) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's sitting volleyball team is the first finalist of the Paralympic Games in Paris, after defeating the German team 3-0 in sets.
The Golden Lilies played their semi-final against Germany starting at 12 PM, achieving another great victory, and will compete for gold tomorrow against the winner of today's match between Iran and Egypt.
Our national team previously secured first place in Group A with three wins. They defeated Egypt 3-1, then Kazakhstan 3-0, and finally France 3-0.
They secured a confident 3-0 victory today. From the very beginning until the end, they controlled the game on the court and appeared completely assured, so the Germans couldn't find a way to make things even a little bit tense, although they did manage a significant comeback in the third set at 20-15, but our volleyball players still secured the win, with the final set ending 31-29.
Bosnia and Herzegovina has won two gold medals (Athens 2004, London 2012), three silver medals (Sydney 2000, Beijing 2008, Rio de Janeiro 2016), and one bronze medal (Tokyo 2020) in their previous appearances at the Paralympic Games.
