Rats are running the city!

Canton Sarajevo is in complete disarray. Economic chaos, budget debacle, systemic collapse of institutions, and the government - arrogant, incompetent, and corrupt to the core - acts as if everything is under control.

And it is not. The city is sinking, the canton is crumbling, citizens are silent, and they, instead of saving what can be saved, continue to divide the spoils.

For years, cantonal government has been led exclusively by populist, short-term measures. Cheap, transparent, poorly conceived. Each timed for the front page, for a social media status, for the applause of sycophants. And today, these same decisions are coming back like a boomerang. They have directly hit the cantonal budget, collapsed the financial system, and brought Sarajevo to the brink of economic paralysis. The city should be breathing, working, filling its coffers before the tourist season - but instead, it is drowning in debt, rats, and pollution.

But that's not all.

While the Canton is collapsing, this government has proven incredibly capable of crime. Three out of twelve ministers arrested or under investigation. Mafia schemes uncovered in ministries, investigators are combing through the KS Ministry of Finance. Companies close to political protégés are getting contracts. Nepotism is flourishing, tenders are being rigged, the budget is being divided like war spoils.

Citizens? Citizens are extras in this dirty play. And what is most disgusting - while Sarajevo is struggling with rodents and infections, while leptospirosis threatens at the beginning of the tourist season, the government is not dealing with municipal hygiene, healthcare, schools, public transport, but with their own positions.

And what do they do when faced with problems? Nothing. They play the opposition while in power. Yes, that is the new political model invented by the Trojka to play the opposition while sovereignly ruling. And for the third year, the Trojka talks about their "predecessors". Enough of that cheap talk! You took power, you took the budget, you appointed your ministers, your directors, your supervisory boards, your advisors, your party cronies. And none of them are capable of taking responsibility.

None!

Prime Minister Nihad Uk is a textbook example of a political opportunist - a man without charisma, without a plan, without authority. A figure who uses his position for protocol photos, and when it comes to solving problems - hides behind phrases and digital marketing tricks, probably paid with our money. Nothing from him, nothing from the ministers, nothing from the directors of cantonal companies. Only cowardice, sloppiness, and endless deals.

This Trojka is not a government, it is an organized group for budget exploitation. Without serious people for serious games. Without ideas. Without strategy. Without morals.

In Sarajevo, the mafia has taken over the institutions, and rats the streets. Zoonoses are rampant, city services are on life support, and the cantonal budget has become a piggy bank for party players.
That is the true face of this government.

When you lack knowledge, when you lack vision, when you lack courage - all you have left is arrogance and theft. And that is exactly what we are witnessing. Sarajevo under the Trojka is a city of rats - both those on four legs and those on two.

That is the only epilogue of the rule of a political project that just yesterday swore by Canton Sarajevo as a bastion of their successful policies. And then the rats came…
