Ousmane Dembele best footballer of 2025.

(Patria) - French forward Ousmane Dembele has been named the best footballer of 2025 by FIFA, winning the prestigious The Best award.

Also in contention was 18-year-old Barcelona star Lamine Yamal.

After winning the Ballon d'Or thanks to an outstanding season with PSG and the French national team, Dembele has now added another significant individual title to his collection.

Last season with PSG, Dembele was instrumental in winning the treble. The club won the Champions League for the first time in its history, and Dembele was one of the key figures in that success.



In the women's category, the award for best player went to Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmati. With her club, she won the league, cup, and super cup, while with the Spanish national team, she finished second in the World Cup.

With this award, Bonmati has further enriched her collection, which includes the Ballon d'Or, and now a third consecutive award for the best female footballer in the world.

The best coach in the men's category was named Luis Enrique, strategist for PSG, who led the club to the treble last season.

In the women's category, the award went to the coach of the English national team, the Dutchwoman Sarina Wiegman, who won the Women's Euro.

The best 11 players in the men's category: Donnarumma, Hakimi, Pacho, Van Dijk, Mendes, Palmer, Bellingham, Vitinha, Pedri, Yamal, Dembele.

The inclusion of two Englishmen, Palmer and Bellingham, caused quite a stir. Especially the latter, who did not perform well in a weak season with Real Madrid.

On the other hand, one of the main favorites for the award, Raphinha, was not included in the best 11. The Brazilian was one of the best performers in winning the Spanish league, cup, and super cup, and recorded as many as 61 goals/assists across all competitions.
