
(Patria) - The 13th Sarajevo Business Forum opened this evening in the festive atmosphere of Sarajevo City Hall.
The ceremony was attended by numerous officials, business leaders, political representatives, economic experts, and media representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries of the region and the world.
Those present were addressed by the Chairman of the Management Board of BBI Bank, Alek Bakalović, the Minister of Economy of Sarajevo Canton, Zlatko Mijatović, and the Chairman of the Sarajevo City Council, Jasmin Ademović.
Bakalović emphasized the importance of the Forum as a platform for connecting investors and entrepreneurs, highlighting the potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina and listing the key topics of this year's Forum, which are of the highest state, business, and public interest.
- The Sarajevo Business Forum is the leading socially responsible project of BBI Bank, representing a constant commitment to the development of our country, and certainly the most significant contribution to the community in which we operate.
We are dedicated to fostering a positive economic and social impact, and this Forum demonstrates our commitment to that goal - he added.
As part of the 13th Sarajevo Business Forum, attendees will have the opportunity to listen and actively participate in key topics regarding the regional perspective of EU membership, its broader implications for growth and integration, and gain insights into government strategies, programs, and initiatives for promoting better economic prospects.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, discussions will be held on the development of railway infrastructure, which has been neglected in the past, exploring opportunities for insight into the strategy, capacities, and approach to Digital Europe for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and examining the potential of the tourism industry with a special emphasis on franchises and health tourism.

Minister Mijatović emphasized the importance of support from the government and local institutions in attracting investments and creating a favorable business environment.

SBF 2024 will last two days - May 22 and 23, and will include a series of panels, workshops, and presentations discussing various aspects of business and investment.
