Oklahoma ties series 2-2

(Patria) - Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the home team Indiana Pacers 111-104 in the fourth game of the NBA Finals last night, tying the series at 2-2.

The guests were led to victory by MVP of the season Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 35 points scored.

The Thunder trailed by seven points in the final quarter but went on a 12-1 run in the last three minutes, ultimately winning that period of the game 31-17 and securing the win.

Less than four minutes before the end of the game, the Pacers led 101-97 before Gilgeous-Alexander took over.

With two minutes and 23 seconds left, he hit a step-back jumper over Aaron Nesmith to give the Thunder the lead for the first time in the second half (104-103).

The NBA's Most Valuable Player scored 13 points the rest of the way, making both of his field goal attempts and all eight of his free throws.

- We showed all our grit, we fought to stay in the game in the third quarter, that was the key. They had momentum, we were playing poorly. It would have been easy to give up - said Thunder coach Mark Daigneault at a press conference.

However, Indiana played the final minutes of the game poorly, scoring their last basket with 3:20 remaining.

- Our offense started to stagnate. We couldn't get rebounds anymore, it became difficult to get into a rhythm - commented Indiana coach Rick Carlisle on the key moment of the game.

Jalen Williams also had a great game for the Thunder, finishing with 27 points and seven rebounds. He made 11 of 11 free throws. Alex Caruso added 20 points and five steals.

Oklahoma City shot 34 of 38 (89.5 percent) from the free-throw line, but only three of 17 three-pointers (17.6 percent).

The Thunder had not hit fewer than seven three-pointers in any game during the 2024/25 regular season or playoffs.

Pascal Siakam led the Pacers with 20 points, starting strong with 10 points and four steals in the first quarter. He finished 6 of 15 from the field with five steals and eight rebounds.

Tyrese Haliburton added 18 points and seven assists, while Obi Toppin had 17 points off the Indiana bench.

The series now shifts to Oklahoma for Game 5 on Monday before returning to Indiana for Game 6 on Thursday, writes Sportklub.
