(Patria) - The fan group Horde zla is watching the match between Sarajevo and Velež at Koševo Stadium in complete silence.
Quite unusually, there are no banners or other insignia of this fan group in front of the north stand, and for the first 20 minutes of the match, members of Horde zla sat in their seats.
After that, a banner was raised reading "May the heroes of the defense of Sarajevo have eternal glory and thanks." The silence at Koševo was briefly broken by chanting the name of Vedran Puljić, and then it resumed.
In the 30th minute of the match, Horde zla left the stadium. A group of Velež fans also arrived at Koševo.
Before the match, the club informed fans about certain rules that must be followed, such as the prohibition of bringing pyrotechnic devices, lighters, e-cigarettes, PVC packaging, and hard objects.
However, a reader of Faktor reports that the measures at the entrances to the stands are even stricter, so those who expected to drink their favorite childhood juice, Dvojni C, in the stands were disappointed.
In the meantime, the UNFKS issued a statement.
"Tonight's systematic repression orchestrated by the MUP of Canton Sarajevo at our club's home match is unprecedented, even at stadiums where we are primarily not liked due to things unrelated to sports, let alone because of the club we support or the city we come from. As announced, a fence and a ticket checkpoint were set up in front of the north stand, and inside the entrance to the north stand, fixed search cabins were installed, along with an unprecedented presence of police officers on the stand itself, both in uniform and full gear, and in civilian clothes.
Due to such thorough checks at the match against a club and fans who have been considered friendly for years, people were still entering the north stand 20 minutes after the start of the match. As an expression of revolt against all this, our fan group left the north stand after the 24th minute and chanting the name of our murdered brother from the stands, Vedran Puljić.
Once again, we ask ourselves in whose interest is this treatment of fans by the police? Is it aimed at yet another demonstration of control over the security situation in an election year, and who is easier to demonstrate it on than fan groups? Every form of crime in the city is on the extreme rise; in the news we read daily about arrested members of various police agencies who are quickly released, yet the authorities' biggest problem is fans, their banners, and pyrotechnics...
If this practice continues in the future, it is questionable whether a song of support will be heard from the north stand of our stadium..."
