Almost all votes counted: Milanović and Primorac in the second round of presidential elections

(Patria) - Zoran Milanović (SDP) is the relative winner of the first round of presidential elections in Croatia.

Milanović won 49.10 percent of the votes after 99.87 percent of polling stations were counted and he will face the candidate of the HDZ and its partners, Dragan Primorac, in the second round, who won 19.35 percent of the votes.

The second round of the presidential elections will be held on January 12.

According to the data from the State Election Commission (DIP) after 99.87 percent of polling stations were processed, independent candidate Marija Selak Raspudić won 9.25 percent of the votes, and the candidate of the "Možemo!" party, Ivana Kekin, received 8.89 percent of the votes.

Independent Tomislav Jonjić received 5.07 percent, and Most's Miro Bulj 3.82 percent.

Next is the candidate of the Homeland and National Gathering (Domino) party, Branka Lozo, who received 2.41 percent.

Independent Niko Tokić Kartelo received less than one percent of the votes, with 0.88 percent.

According to the preliminary data from DIP, 1,620,269 (46.01 percent) voters participated in the election.

Milanović won 795,758 votes, and Primorac 313,813. Marija Selak Raspudić received 149,895 votes, and Ivana Kekin 143,918.

Tomislav Jonjić received 82,215, Miro Bulj 61,984, Branka Lozo 39,138, and Niko Tokić Kartelo 14,355.

Zoran Milanović won in all counties, and Primorac in the diaspora.
