(Patria) - The coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, Sergej Barbarez, decided to call up PSV player Esmir Bajraktarević ahead of the matches against San Marino and Austria. The change occurred because Ifet Đakovac got injured and had to be removed from the initial list, so a preliminary call-up was activated for the young offensive player. Barbarez revealed that Bajraktarević had two long conversations with national team director Emir Spahić in the past few days.
After the coach's announcement, Bajraktarević posted on Instagram, and that post caused a lot of debate.
However, the latter received a much better reaction. Bajraktarević posted a photo of himself wearing a Bosnia and Herzegovina jersey as a child.
The photo was accompanied by a fitting caption: "Even my blood, for my Bosnia".
Let's recall, Bajraktarević recently shone in the PSV jersey when he scored two goals in their 4:2 victory over Groningen, which brought him closer to his national team debut. Coach Barbarez emphasized that the young player represents the future of BiH football, but also that his development needs to be carefully managed.
