New poll: Milanović far ahead of all others in race for new term at Pantovčak

(Patria) - RTL television released a new poll tonight ahead of the first round of the presidential elections, which will be held in Croatia this Sunday.

Here are the results:

- Zoran Milanović (SDP candidate) 39.3%;

- Dragan Primorac (HDZ) 24.3%;

- Marija Selak Raspudić 10%;

- Ivana Kekin (We Can!) 8.1%.

Incumbent President Zoran Milanović remains the clear first choice for the majority of voters. Another five years of his term at Pantovčak is desired by 39.3 percent of respondents.

In the final stretch of the race, support for Dragan Primorac is growing, but at 24.3 percent, he remains far from the leading position.

Both Primorac and Milanović have seen their support increase by several points.

Marija Selak Raspudić has held firmly in third place in recent months with 10 percent support.

Ivana Kekin has dropped by nearly one percentage point in this poll and now stands at 8.1 percent.

Miro Bulj is at a stable 3.8 percent support.

Among other candidates, only Branka Lozo exceeds two percent.

In the second round, Milanović would be the winner according to this survey. His victory would be less convincing against Marija Selak Raspudić than against Dragan Primorac.

In the second round, the majority of Ivana Kekin's voters and even half of those who would vote for Selak Raspudić would vote for Milanović.

The votes of Bulj's supporters lean more towards the HDZ candidate.

Selak Raspudić would take the majority of Primorac's voters and nearly 50 percent of MOST voters in the second round, but according to this poll, she would still be defeated.

The survey was conducted from December 19 to 23 by Promocija plus on a sample of 1,000 respondents, with a standard sampling error of +/- 2.7 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent.
