Nino Šeremet wins gold in Innsbruck

(Patria) - Bosnian taekwondo national team member Nino Šeremet, a member of Taekwondo Club Magone from Livno, won a gold medal at the Austrian Open G1 tournament held last weekend in Austrian Innsbruck.

Šeremet, a scholarship holder of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, won the gold medal in the junior category up to 78 kilograms after defeating the representative of San Marino 2-0 in the final.

In addition to Šeremet, who will also represent our country at this year's EYOF in Skopje, several of Šeremet's club colleagues also defended the colors of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the competition which gathered more than 800 competitors from all over the world.

His teammate Marko Ištuk came closest to the podium, taking fifth place in the cadet category up to 41 kilograms, while Marija Orlović, after defeating the representative of Uzbekistan, was stopped in the fight for a medal by the representative of Ecuador.

Unfortunately, Marko and Petar Dolić lost their fights in the first round.
